Urban Exercise Equipment – Rails – Parkour Training and Conditioning
For a full guide to this video, please visit: www.americanparkour.com Exercise equipment is not limited to your local gym or recreation center. It can be found anywhere and at any time. However, to see the equipment that is all around you, you must change the way you view your environment. As a traceur, you already have a head start on gaining this perspective; you see obstacles as opportunities for movement. A natural variation of this perspective is to also see obstacles as exercise equipment. An every day, common rail, bench, tree, or wall can all be turned into an incredibly versatile piece of exercise equipment. In this edition of Urban Exercise Equipment, we will explore the exercise possibilities of a basic rail.

@HansumRob100 actually a lot of people care, people who actually do this care, and it’s excruciatingly hard to get the general ignorant public like yourself to understand this.
July 6, 2010 - 4:30 am
@InMythxGodIsForce why you talkin about cousins for? Like i said who cares they are almost the same thing
July 6, 2010 - 4:45 am
@HansumRob100 people who actually care about the arts and want the generally knob headed public to atleast know something rather then fucking generalizing, and no they aren;t almost the same thing. Thats like saying two cousins are almost the same person.

for that excercise at 0:48, you can use a chair with arms as well. Works great ^_^ i suggest before attempting that you get stronger by lifting two 10-20 pound weights and doing 20 cycles. Should help you get in shape.

@fukitifyawantit
Sorry. Nevermind for my last comment, didn’t read your further comment. ^_^ Sometimes I act blindsighted.

@fukitifyawantit
Actually it’s the complete opposite. Parkour is the art of moving through your environment as swiftly and effectively as possible using only the human body (Point A to point B). Freerunning is named with the word free because of the freedom it includes, rather than getting through it as swiftly and as fast as possible, which is parkour.

wow…i dont know where my brain went, but you are right. I just got them switched around somehow…obviously i havent been into this for long. Thanks for the clarification.
July 6, 2010 - 7:58 am
@fukitifyawantit eh, Parkour is getting from A – B
Freerunning is the one that involves tricks ^^
July 6, 2010 - 8:00 am
in 3:29 is he balancing on his abs or his crotch?
July 6, 2010 - 8:52 am
free running is just getting from point A to point B with whatever it takes…no one said you had to do a bunch of showy flips to accomplish that. Parkour involves more tricks.
July 6, 2010 - 9:33 am
