What exercise equipment do you recommend?
I plan on exercising and what not this summer.
Plus it’ll give me something to do and keep my mind off of painful things.
So any recommendations for exercise equipment I should buy?
I’m definitely getting a treadmill.
And I want something for crunches and stuff but I don’t know what to buy for that.
Anything else I should look into?

there are actually many things you can do with your body that are sometimes even better than using machines. i know this for a fact when doing ab workouts. if you look into this you will be surpised at just how many different techniques there are, and you will save money in the process.

You’ve almost all of the basics covered. A set of interchangeable dumbbells would make for a more complete home gym. Hit the web, library or bookstores to find out more information on the topic, e.g. routines and diet.

Well, personally I think you should look up Tai Chi because I hear it is really relaxing and gets your mind off painful things. I’m not too sure there is equipment for it though.
Also, you could get a Wii Fit. I have one and it’s great! You exercise while having lots of fun.
Here are some other things:
-Ab Lounge
-Home Gym
-Dumbbells
-Rowers
-stationary bikes
-elliptical (one of my favorite, besides Wii Fit)

If your looking to do some cardio and lose some weight an elliptical machine will burn calories almost twice as fast as a treadmill. Also, an elliptical machine works your abs, unlike a treadmill.
If your looking to build some muscle, get yourself a bench press/preacher curl combo, or if your serious, a cage that will have some pulley attachments. Gold’s Gym makes some really good weight lifting stuff, and Proform or Horizon makes some really good cardio equipment.
As far as abs go, you can get yourself a decline ab bench, or a mat and do some crunches on the floor. There arnt any machines out there thatl’l work better than that.

Have you considered indoor rowing? It works out your whole body, including your stomach muscles. Rowing burns more calories than a treadmill does for the same amount of time you are working out. If you try the Concept2 indoor rowing machine, you get a great product at a reasonable cost.
