Any place to get a good fitness trainer?
Hi I'm living in vancouver area, and I wanna gain weight and build muscle at the same time. Where should I go to get a personal fitness trainer who can help me with my DIET as well? with a reasonable price, of course…There are some trainers in my college but I'm not sure if they are good enough…^^
I'm not in Vancouver, but the best place to look for trainers is at gyms and health clubs. There are many ways to judge whether or not a trainer is a good one: 1. Is he or she certified by a national agency? In the USA we have different agencies like AFAA who train and certify physical trainers and aerobics instructors. 2. Does the trainer appear to have the kind of body you would like to work toward? 3. What do the trainers other clients say about him or her? Get recommendations 4. The trainer should ask you what your fitness goals and objectives are–if they try to stick you with a "canned rountine," drop them.
Physical trainers are usually not nutritionists–they can give you eating and diet suggestions, but to get serious diet help, you would need to consult a nutritionist as well. Hope that helps.

If possible get reccomendations from friends and family first. if that doesn't work try local health clubs or gyms. Speak to some of their other customers, make sure things "feel right", if you get a nagging voice in the back of your head telling you something is wrong, it probabbly right so move on.
