To lose weight and burn fat you can choose the exercise bike workout as a core fitness routine. That does not signify that the stationary bike is clearly better than other exercise equipment. It is however a time proven piece of machinery and does have some advantages especially if you take particular kinds of bikes. Row a stationary machine at moderate pace and burn 7.9 calories per minute. Step aerobics burns 11.3 calories per minute on a 10 to 12 inch step. Bicycling at 12-13.9 mph uses 9 calories per minute. Running 5.2 mph gets rid of 10.2 calories per minute.

In effect they are all about the same…

It’s 3500 calories to a pound of fat anyway… That’s a lot to shed at just about 300 calories in a single session. But it really is more involved since the way calories get burned depends on if we’re considering fats or carbs or protein. Each is used as fuel but all get used differently. To burn fat takes some time as you can readily see.

But where exercise bike workout really shines is the cranking up of metabolism. See the right sort of workout can actually make the body a better fat burner. Exercise bike workouts can help speed metabolism especially as muscles get built and stronger. That’s why lots of exercise books encourage some kind of weight training. The magnetic drive recumbent or upright bikes make for more comfortable and less boring workouts. On the other hand, the dual action stationary bikes like the Schwinn Airdyne also keep it interesting and use more of the muscles for maybe even faster results. After all though, no matter what kind of machine you have, it’s a matter of using it often and with vigor that gets you toward your goals.

1. Flat Stomach Diet - no matter how much exercise you do you will never — ever reduce the size of your stomach. If you don’t cut back on the amount of carbohydrates and fats that you eat. Look, nobody ever said having a flat stomach was going to be easy.

But it doesn’t have to be hard. Making the right food choices is so not so much about giving up your favorite foods — as it is about knowing what foods to eat.

3. How to Get Maximum Results - familiarize yourself with isometric exercise. Using isometrics for your stomach exercises will quickly strengthen your stomach muscles and reduce belly fat.

4. Don’t Be Overly Price Sensitive - when shopping for abdominal exercise machines look for quality over price. These are not very expensive exercisers, so get the best bang for your buck.

5. Variety Is the Spice of Life - choose an exercise device that can perform as many abdominal exercises as possible. Why you ask? The biggest problem — besides time — is that you’ll get bored with the exercises.

The more variety or quantity of exercises that you can perform — the greater the chance that you’ll stick to your abdominal exercise program.

These 5 tips will help you in choosing the best abdominal exercise equipment. Just use your common sense and stick to your workouts.

Strength training is most advisable for the development of various muscle groups as there are lot of machines which could aid in any fitness regimen. One should compare between using free weights and exercise machines. Both of it has its pros and cons. However the comparison is required to know what suits your fitness regimen, the best.

Dumbbells and Barbells are forms of free weights available in the market and is the latest construction. Quite many of the dumbbells are one piece, single weight items. Few of them are designed closely with Barbells. They have bars in the mid section with removable weights, giving you an option to change weights. Though this is not expensive, it of course is time consuming as you would have to keep replacing the weights for different exercise.

Weight stack machines are of two types; Single exercise machine, created for single movement, and multiple exercise machine, adjusted to blend with several exercises.

Free Weights

Entire body is strengthened when free weights are used. In most cases, this is effective. Even the work outs with free weights could be done easily. When standing one can hold the free weights well. As the entire body supports the weight, the muscles move quite actively when the exercise is done. It would also avoid osteoporosis significantly supporting bone mineralization. Your body would remain steady along with weight stabilization, as the free weights are lifted. This again would add to the muscle strength.

Advantage of Machines

One major advantage with training machines compared to free weights is ease of use and safety. These machines would guide towards the resistance paths as they are equipped with right controls. This makes is not very dangerous, preventing the user being injured, trapped or pinched. The stacks would not hurt you, if you don’t control the weights. You don’t need the spotter’s help at all when you exercise. There in higher comfort in lifting heavier weights and would also add to the muscle mass. Machines are prone to human adjustments and that is the sole reason for gyms and fitness centers using them.

Safety factor

The major con about free weights is the safety factor. If bench presses are performed using barbells, you could get trapped on failure to complete certain repetitions. Hence you would need a spotter or some gym peer to help you. One should always remember that higher control is required as you stabilize your muscles. To prevent muscle and joint injuries, total control is required.

Customizing

Most manufacturers create resistance machines with various designs and qualities. Often, these are customized for typical users with typical limb, lengths, heights and weights. The machine guides the motion of exercise. This is the reason; sometimes the motions can’t be perfect to suit the body size or the limb length. Your body gets adapted to such unusual motions which would make your exercise not so useful or good.

You have the option to choose between the two. As a synopsis, Machines would provide you with safety and ease of use whereas free weights could good for obtaining freedom of motion and complete stabilization of muscles. Hence, considering your exercising goals, you need to choose right.
